Preparation for Swine or Avian Flu

A Natural Therapy for self-protection and treating influenza

Several years ago, various U.S. and U.N. agencies and the Council on Foreign Relations were spreading the word that the Avian Influenza could be as severe as the worldwide Spanish Influenza epidemic of 1918, and predicted hundreds of millions of deaths worldwide. Fortunately, that outbreak did not come to pass.

This year, however, a severely debilitating swine flu has already stricken more than a thousand people in Mexico and killed as many as 68, with 20 confirmed (as of April 25, 2009). The U.S. has already declared a health emergency.

For people who have weakened immunity and are vitamin C deficient, this influenza can kill its victims by rapidly depleting ascorbate (vitamin C) stores in the body, inducing scurvy and collapse of the arterial blood supply, causing internal hemorrhaging of the lungs and sinus cavities.

Most people today have barely enough vitamin C in their bodies (typically 60 mg per day) to prevent scurvy under normal living conditions, and are not prepared for this kind of illness. (Vitamin C deficiency is the root cause of high infant mortality and many childhood deaths worldwide; it is the root cause of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome – SIDS.)

The way to prepare yourself and protect your family from this influenza is not a vaccine or anti-viral drug. I strongly recommend that if vaccines and/or anti-viral drugs are offered to you, that you refuse them. These actually reduce your immunity; vaccines contain many toxic components, such as aluminum, mercury, and solvents, and anti-viral drugs interfere with critical body processes. Historical evidence of vaccinations has shown that they actually increase the chances of becoming severely ill. Influenza vaccines in particular are notoriously ineffective and have harmed thousands of people, and there is evidence already that Tamiflu, now being stockpiled for a possible epidemic, is useless against influenza. The best way to prepare for influenza is by enhancing your immune system and increasing the amount of vitamin C in your body.

The amounts of vitamin C suggested below are perfectly safe. Vitamin C is an essential nutrient. It is actually produced in the bodies of most animals in enormous quantities. Only humans, monkeys, and a few other animals must consume it to get enough of it, and most humans get about one-thirtieth (1/30) of the amount they really need. It is necessary for dozens of body processes, such as the building of collagen and the making of antibodies, white blood cells, and neurotransmitters.

The supplements I suggest below can be obtained at good quality supplement stores such as Vitamin Shoppe or at online supplement discounters such as iherb.com, although for the most part the powdered forms can only be purchased from online discounters. Buy good quality supplements such as those made by NOW Foods, Source Naturals, Jarrow, Nature’s Way, Vitamin Shoppe (store brand), etc. (These are not endorsements, but suggestions based on my personal experience). For vitamin C, buy ascorbic acid, not the chelated forms such as calcium or sodium ascorbate or Ester-C, because at the acute illness dosages you would be taking too much of these minerals). Do not use drug store supplements. For children, modify the dosages according to the body weight of the child as compared to that of an adult (~150 lbs, 70 kg). For instance, if your child weighs 50 lbs, use 1/3 of the adult dose. Always divide the dosages over the course of the day, taking 1/3 of the daily dose with meals.

1. Begin increasing the amount of vitamin C that you take each day to very high levels, spread over the course of the day, in divided doses taken with meals. Start at 1000 mg per meal, and increase slowly to 2000-4000 mg per meal. (These are adult doses, modify by body weight for children.) Your optimal dose is just below the point where your body complains by giving you mild diarrhea. This is called the “bowel tolerance dose.” Such doses are perfectly safe – vitamin C is natural to our bodies and needed for many body processes. Most people don’t get nearly enough. Stock up on this vital nutrient – buy ascorbic acid in 1000 mg capsules or in powder form, 1-pound or 3-pound canisters. Mix powder with water or fruit juice. Be sure to take vitamin C with food that will coat your stomach to prevent stomach upset, such as organic soymilk, and to rinse your mouth afterwards to prevent mouth irritation or potential interaction with tooth enamel.

2. Take 6000 mg of the amino acid lysine per day, 2000 mg per meal (adult dose, modify by body weight for children). Lysine is a natural protease inhibitor – it prevents bacteria and viruses from spreading in your body. You can obtain it in tablet, capsule, or powder form. The latter form is the least expensive; buy several pound containers of it.

3. Take a high-potency multivitamin/multimineral tab, and a calcium/magnesium supplement, every day.

4. Drink at least 2 quarts (8 cups, 2 liters) of non-caffeinated liquids per day. Spring water and/or decaffeinated green tea made with spring water are best. Do not drink diet soda or consume anything with aspartame or other artificial sweeteners.

5. Stock up on other anti-viral agents and nutrients: l-proline and l-glycine (amino acids – at least one pound of each, in powder form), turmeric extract capsules, ginger capsules, garlic capsules, 15-mg zinc/1-mg copper capsules or tabs, oil of oregano (Gaia Herbs brand is a good one), decaffeinated green tea extract, N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC), and non-gmo or organic soy protein drink concentrate. (Note to expectant mothers: Do not use oregano oil or green tea extract during pregnancy.)

6. In advance (right now), find a chelation or alternative health clinic that is willing to administer 30-gram intravenous vitamin C infusions. This may be necessary if you are stricken by the Avian Flu and find that you cannot keep up with it with the oral dosage. Please contact me at http://www.cqs.com/contact.htm if your clinic needs preparation and administration information.

7. If you do become ill, start increasing your daily vitamin C dosage dramatically – your bowel tolerance dose will rise as it is used to detoxify your body from the virus toxins; it may rise to as much as 100,000 mg (100 grams) per day (adult dose). Take up to 2000 mg per dose, increasing the number of dosages to as many as once per hour. Back off the dosage and frequencey if you get diarrhea. Start taking 12,000 mg of each of l-lysine, l-proline and l-glycine per day, in divided doses. Take 1000 mg oregano, 4000 mg turmeric extract, 4000 mg ginger,  4000 mg garlic, 45 mg zinc/3 mg copper, 1500 mg N-acetyl cysteine (NAC), and 2000 mg green tea per day, in divided doses. Increase fluid intake to 3-4 quarts (liters) per day. (These are the adult doses, slightly more or less is OK, modify by weight for children.) Eat small easily-digestible meals complemented with 1/2-scoop soy or whey protein shakes.  Continue this regimen until all signs of illness have subsided. If the illness is not controlled by the regimen, obtain a series (2-3 per week) of 30-gram Vitamin C intravenous infusions at a chelation or alternative health clinic, with higher dosages if necessary for pneumonia or previously compromised immunity (e.g., AIDS or CFIDS). (Important: See note above regarding use of this regimen during pregnancy; do not use oregano oil or green tea during pregnancy.)

8. If you are currently taking Lipitor or another cholesterol-lowering (statin) drug, stop taking it immediately. These drugs are very damaging to the immune system. The above vitamin C and lysine regimen will (through a completely different mechanism) naturally balance your cholesterol and protect you from heart disease. If you continue to take a maintenance dose of 6000 mg of vitamin C and 6000 mg of lysine per day, you will never need to take statin drugs ever again. For more information on this, see http://www.cqs.com/lipitor.htm for an article about statin side effects. If you have any other kind of heart or blood pressure problem, see the article http://www.cqs.com/cvstherapy.htm.

9. You must take the regimen above every day, consistently. After the danger period has passed, I recommend that you continue the regimen at the level of 6000 mg vitamin C and 6000 mg lysine per day (adult dose, modify by weight for children). You will enjoy better health, lose fewer days to illness, and protect yourself against heart disease. (If you choose not to continue the regimen, please taper off gradually.) Use your stocks of anti-viral nutrients for any illness you may encounter.

If you or a member of your family have any kind of serious or chronic disease, or you are looking for a long-term regimen to maintain health, I urge you to look at the Natural Therapy Virtual Clinic website, http://www.cqs.com

Who are you likely dealing with?

April 29, 2009

newspaperlunch

I see them everywhere.  They slavishly pore over the local newspaper while they eat lunch at work; likely listen to the radio in their cars on the way to and from and perhaps catch the evening news on TV at home.

Like poor Thom Hartmann, noted below, they flesh out their respective world views with economic nonsense and call it good.

I can hardly give a better description of the malady than what Thomas E. Woods provides below.

I occasionally try to redirect when offered the chance, but I am far too cynical and cryptic in my efforts.  How do you get someone to swear off reading a newspaper like the Press Donkeycrap (Sonoma County’s premier daily rag of choice) for a few weeks and read a book like Creature from Jekyll Island or Thomas E. Woods bestselling book Meltdown: A Free-Market Look at Why the Stock Market Collapsed, the Economy Tanked, and Government Bailouts Will Make Things Worse ?

The sad fact is that people generally don’t read books anymore and there is just enough credible information bleeding out the MSM to make most people feel smug and just sure enough about the fiction they would call their worldview.  Short of dropping a 40 pound rock on their foot, I am not sure what could serve as a motivator to get them to abstain from the poison that “informs” them and perhaps choose another path.

Like I mentioned in my presentation last Tuesday, I think historians will look back on this age of information and call us the most deluded population in the history of the world.

Go get ‘em Thomas E. Woods!

Don’t Know Much About Capitalism

Posted by Thomas E. Woods Jr. on April 28, 2009

After eight years of watching conservatives blow trillions of dollars and comport themselves like anti-intellectual, jingoistic blockheads, I found myself ashamed to admit that the Left seemed to have all the genuine intellectuals—people who seemed to possess real curiosity, who refused to accept whatever official line the government was shelling out, and who sought genuine understanding instead of name-calling and pointless vitriol.

With the Left now in power, though, they’ve by and large reverted to form.  The very same people who just a year ago prided themselves on evaluating every Pentagon press release with an air of suspicion and hostility now accept without cavil whatever the Federal Reserve chairman or the Treasury secretary tell them.  They’ll believe whatever economic superstition, no matter how transparently ludicrous, that happens to be in fashion. Whatever happened to “Question Authority”?

Air America host Thom Hartmann is a perfect example.  His article on the economic crisis posted at the Huffington Post gets pretty much everything dead wrong, and yet his point of view is by and large the conventional wisdom.

Let’s start with the economists whose ideas, according to Hartmann, led us to the current crisis.  Why, they’re “Ludwig Von Mises, Freidrich [sic] Von Hayeck [sic], Milton Friedman, Alan Greenspan, Tom Freidman [sic], Robert Rubin, Larry Summers, and Ayn Rand.”

Now I’m sporting enough to look past the fact that Hartmann makes two spelling errors in a single economist’s name.  Still, color me skeptical that Hartmann knows a blessed thing about the work of F.A. Hayek.  (I assume he thinks these people are more or less interchangeable, that Mises = Friedman = Summers = Rubin, that Mises wouldn’t have denounced at least several of these figures, and that the differences between them are probably just trivial and not worth mentioning.)

Quiz time, Thom!  Name one book on economic theory (so The Road to Serfdom, if you happen to have heard of it, doesn’t count) Hayek wrote that you’ve read, flipped through, held in your hand, or even heard of.  Stumped?  How about one article?  Stumped again?  Then why not do the decent and honorable thing and shut up until you can speak from authority rather than prejudice and ignorance?  Sound fair?

Actually, Thom, I’ll be even more sporting. You can start condemning them again once you can at least competently summarize what someone who has read them tells you they say. How’s that?

Hilariously, then, Hartmann lumps Mises and Hayek in with Alan Greenspan, the so-called free-marketeer who thinks we need a Soviet commissar (namely himself) to plan money and interest rates. Um, Thom, Mises and Hayek opposed central banking altogether, arguing that it was not only a superfluous intervention into the market economy but also that it was destabilizing and the source of the boom-bust cycle. These men are supposed to be similar to Greenspan how, exactly?  Can I take a wild guess that you’re out of your depth here, Thom, and therefore simply making things up?

I’ve summarized the Mises-Hayek position elsewhere (flip to page 13 here, for instance, or see Meltdown, my recently released book on what caused the crisis and why the free market is not the cause but the solution). In a nutshell, the point is that when the government’s central bank intervenes in the economy to push interest rates lower than the free market would have set them, the result of its tampering is a massive cluster of errors (to use Lionel Robbins’ phrase) on the part of investors and consumers alike. It goes without saying that a government central bank’s intervention into the market to push interest rates lower than the free market would have set them cannot, by definition, be the fault of the free market.  The problems Hartmann identifies in his article, as well as the ones he neglects or doesn’t know about, are mere symptoms of a more fundamental cause, namely the creation of cheap credit by the Fed. Whatever happened to leftists’ interest in “root causes”?

This raises another issue about Hartmann’s piece: not a single word about the Federal Reserve System, as if it played no role at all in the crisis. Not one word! Is Hartmann actually ignorant of the Fed’s role?  Does he, as I suspect, actually defend the Fed?

How I’d love to hear Thom’s defense of the Fed as a progressive institution. That would be rich. Here’s the guy who claims to oppose the transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich, and yet that is precisely what the Cantillon effects of expansionary monetary policy do. It’s also what the Fed’s role as “lender of last resort” does. If Hartmann thinks that power is exercised in defense of the little guy, he is hopeless.  Hopeless with an exponent beside it.

Now I know you’re waiting with bated breath to know about Hartmann’s take on the S&L fiasco of the 1980s. What laser beam of insight might he share with us? Whatever could Thom blame that one on? Who can predict such a thing?

I’m telling you, you’ll need to do some breathing exercises, and perhaps a little quiet meditation, to prepare yourself for the careful nuance and devastating originality of Hartmann’s answer.

The S&L crisis was caused, he says, by…“deregulation.”  (I’m as speechless as you are.)

Before Ronald Reagan and his crazy deregulation spree, you see, everything worked fine. Then Reagan was elected, and he repealed all the laws. Society practically reverted to barbarism. Everyone grew slightly hairier. Wolves ran free in the streets.

What actually happened was a little less cartoonish. First, so-called deregulation of the S&Ls began under Jimmy Carter, not Reagan. I say “so-called” because, as with most measures trumpeted as “deregulation,” it was nothing of the kind: all throughout the process of alleged deregulation, the S&Ls’ deposits continued to be covered under government deposit insurance. Deregulation means the removal of government involvement and control. Does this sound like the removal of government involvement and control to you? To the contrary, it gave us the worst of both worlds—though, naturally, Hartmann will blame the consequences on “deregulation” and “capitalism,” terms I doubt he could even define.

Under the government-established rules, the S&Ls could charge 6 percent on loans, and could offer depositors a mere 3 percent. Since most depositors had nowhere else to go, they had to content themselves with a miserable 3 percent return.

With the advent of the money-market mutual fund, ordinary people suddenly had the chance to earn higher returns, and began pulling their money out of S&Ls in droves.  Consequently, the S&Ls wanted permission to offer higher interest returns for depositors, so “deregulation” allowed them to do so. Had the original government requirements remained in place, the S&Ls would have gone under then and there.

A consensus began to form that in order to save the S&Ls, their government-established loan and deposit interest-rate requirements, as well as the kind of loans they could make, had to be modified in light of the impossible conditions under which these institutions were forced to operate. The S&Ls needed to be permitted to engage in riskier investments than 30-year mortgages at 6 percent. (Notice: it’s the fault of the free market when the government modifies the government-established rules of a government-established institution, while its deposits continue to be guaranteed by the government. Got it?)

Maybe the S&Ls should have gone under in 1980. Perhaps they really did have an impossible business model. There is no non-arbitrary basis for deciding one way or the other, since the S&Ls were never genuinely subject to a market test. The government husbanded and cartelized the S&Ls, and stood ready to bail them out after that.

Thom Hartmann, meanwhile, looks at this situation and concludes that the problem was too much deregulation and too much capitalism.  I am at a loss as to how to describe a person like this.

Hartmann also denounces the dreaded “Reagan tax cuts,” which were largely nullified by the Reagan tax increases and loophole closings. Tax revenues, in fact, rose substantially and consistently during the Reagan years, and you’d never know from Hartmann’s comments that the top 5 percent of earners now pay 60 percent of the costs of government.  That’s not enough for Thom Hartmann, naturally, who never met a problem he didn’t think could be solved with more forced labor, which is what income taxation, stripped of the platitudes and propaganda, really is. (If you favor forced labor for the purpose of filling the coffers of our wise public servants, to be disbursed on behalf of society’s most vulnerable—since that’s our politicians’ number-one concern, don’t you know—then that makes you a “progressive” like ol’ Thom.)

Then comes the inevitable post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy: the American economy was strong back when the top income tax rate was 90 percent, so therefore high marginal income tax rates are great for the economy! How does Hartmann know that American prosperity didn’t occur in spite of, rather than because of, those high rates?  Without the help of economic theory, which Hartmann seems allergic to, how can we decide which of these possibilities is correct?

I genuinely wonder how someone like Hartmann thinks wealth is created. Nothing I can see indicates he’s given the matter much thought. The average person’s standard of living, he seems certain, occurs because we loot and shackle the wealthy, who are mere parasites on the backs of working people, the real engines of the economy.

Leaving aside the odd view that only manual laborers engage in “work,” all the brawn in the world could never have produced a steam engine or a Pentium processor.  Only when informed by the knowledge of inventors and supplied with the capital saved by capitalists can the average laborer produce the tiniest fraction of what he is today accustomed to producing. The central ingredient in a laborer’s physical productivity is the equipment and machinery at his disposal. There is nothing natural or inevitable about the availability of this productivity-enhancing capital equipment.  It comes from the wicked capitalists’ abstention from consumption, and the allocation of the unconsumed resources in capital investment.  This process is the only way the general standard of living can possibly rise.  Hartmann thinks it’s just swell to tax it.

The increases in the productivity of labor that additional capital makes possible, by increasing the overall amount of output and thereby increasing the ratio of consumers’ goods to the supply of labor, make prices lower relative to wage rates and thereby raise real wages.  That’s why, in order to earn the money necessary to acquire a wide range of necessities, far fewer labor hours are necessary today than in the past—say, 1950 or 1900. Thanks to capital investment, which is what businesses engage in when their profits aren’t seized from them, our economy is far more physically productive than it used to be, and therefore consumer goods exist in far greater abundance and are correspondingly less dear than before.

American society, in short, would have been far wealthier and the material level of all people would have been dramatically higher had top income tax rates been lower throughout the twentieth century.  Had government not seized so many resources to squander on consumption, those resources would have been available for investment that would have made the economy permanently capable of producing far more wealth than otherwise. Everyone’s standard of living would, as a result, have been far higher.

Hartmann gives no indication that he understands any of this. To the contrary, he seems to think (in addition to the egalitarian rationales he’d surely give for the seizure of some people’s property) the lack of government wealth redistribution yields the boom-bust business cycle!  If wealth disparities caused the boom-bust cycle, we’d experience economic depressions everywhere in the world, constantly.

Hartmann’s argument runs, in effect: “Citizen, you need to be looted in order to stabilize the system [a nonsensical idea Hartmann came across in the popular Keynesianism that forms the entirety of his economic knowledge].  Let us hear no more anti-social talk about your so-called rights. All hail The System!  Wherever would we be without the stabilizing power of violence!”

As for the nonsense about FDR’s New Deal “stabilizing us”—and the perverse argument that our economy will never be stable unless the people are violently expropriated—check out economist Robert P. Murphy’s new book The Politically Incorrect Guide to the Great Depression and the New Deal.  Its playful title notwithstanding, this book mercilessly bludgeons thoughtless clichés like this.

At least the mafia has the decency not to put such transparently phony claims over on you. They’re honest: we’re taking your money because we have power, and you don’t.

What it all boils down to is this: one side of our political spectrum favors the central planning of Iraq, while the other favors the central planning of Americans. We can only hope for the continued growth of a third side, one that rejects as unworthy of a free people all the superstitious nonsense about the magical powers of our overlords, whether that power is exercised at home or abroad.

THE POWER OF THE PURSE, THE POWER OF THE SWORD

The rot and corruption that has been oozing out of Washington, DC for decades continues as Americans scramble to keep their heads above water, a roof over their heads and food on the table. 401(k)s will continue to bleed and the shock factor will multiply as Americans see the fruits of their labor and dreams turn to dust. Congress continues the march towards complete totalitarian, world government. The Constitution is merely a prop; neither we the people nor the sovereignty of these united States of America matter to the 534 (excluding Ron Paul) cowards and crooks who serve their special interests money machines and global masters.

For those who still believe there is a difference between the Democrats and Republicans (other than the issue of abortion), let me disabuse you of that myth right now: April 17, 2009: Steve Schmidt urges Republicans to begin voicing more support for civil unions and gay rights. The Democrats controlled Congress for 40 years. This brought us disasters like LBJs “Great Society,” two monstrous failures called immigration reform (the first from Ted Chappaquidick Kennedy; the second foolishly signed by Ronald Reagan) that opened the flood gates resulting in a continuing invasion that has cost the lives of tens of thousands of Americans, bankrupting local municipalities and states and robbing Americans of jobs that rightfully belong to our people.

The Republicans took over in January 1995; they lost “power” in November 2006. In all those years of “control” not one single, unconstitutional or unnecessary cabinet or agency was eliminated. The unconstitutional invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan continued by writing hot checks. They did not take Eisenhower’s blue print and put it into action. Illegal aliens: Do not pass go and you sure as hell are not entitled to free medical, education, housing or America’s jobs. The GOP simply out spent the Democrats while funding the same bloated government:

November 4, 2004: Why Are Democrats Upset Over The Elections?
November 4, 2005: Conservatives pay lip service to the Constitution

Financial meltdown

Who will prosecute these individuals?

April 14, 2009: Wells Fargo revisited: A Case of Unmistaken Fraud

April 24, 2009: Judge Andrew Napolitano: Bank of America’s Chief Committed Fraud and He Can’t Hide Behind the Government

April 20, 2009: Big bank profits are bogus! Massive public deception

This is becoming routine every Friday after close of business hours: U.S. regulators close 4 banks and a credit union. Why late on Friday’s? The shadow government counts on the American people being distracted and too tired to notice.

Republicans who wouldn’t give any of Ron Paul’s bills the time of day regarding the FED for decades are suddenly lining up to become sponsors to audit that private entity. After all, they’re facing an election next year. Too little, too late as I pointed out in this column: Unprecedented rape of the American people underway in DC. The money is gone. Stolen from you, your children and grand children by Congress, one president (Bush) and one usurper president (Obama/Soetoro). Every Republican who voted for the bail outs last year and handed total power to the privately owned Federal Reserve Banking cartel and Secretary of the Treasury who now support H.R. 1207 need to be thrown out of office in 2010. Without question every Democrat incumbent should also be removed from office for what they’ve done and are doing to this republic. No mercy. No exceptions.

We have passed the point of no return regarding fiat currency and financial stability. Brilliant individuals like Dr. Edwin Vieira, Peter Schiff, Ron Paul and so many others have warned for decades what would happen if there was no monetary reform. No. The economy isn’t healthy or showing signs of recovery. Such statements by the controlled “mainstream” media and Barack Hussein Obama aka Barry Soetoro aka and so forth, as well as the other toady’s who serve their global masters (Bernanke, Geithner, Paulson, etc) are simply lies. (See links below)

The explosion of spending will not stop. Every check being written by the federal government is a hot check because the people’s treasury is overdrawn $11.1 trillion dollars. Here is more reckless, destructive, communist spending on the horizon:

Obama proposes $100 billion U.S. loan for IMF
The International Monetary Fund doles out money to countries around the globe. Trillions dumped into black holes and the debt is slapped onto you, me, our children and grand children. The U.S. Constitution does NOT authorize a sitting president or CON-gress to simply loot and rob us blind to give money to some private world fund.

Usurper president

While the birth certificate crisis continues to build, please remember this: Obama aka Soetoro simply producing a long form vault birth certificate will not “put this to rest once and for all”. There is chatter that a new, high tech forged long form vault certificate is being prepared. Regardless of whether Obama aka Soetoro was born in Kenya, Hawaii or Nebraska, it was his father’s status as a British subject that makes him ineligible period:

“When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom’s dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.‘s children.”

Obama aka Soetoro can never be a ‘natural born citizen at birth’ because his father was a Kenyan national under British rule. At his birth, Obama aka Soetoro was a dual citizen. That ends any possibility of him being constitutionally eligible. This is the core issue. Obama aka Soetoro never “reclaimed” his citizenship as claimed by his supporters because he was not a ‘natural born citizen at birth.” Can anyone read English anymore?

Additionally, when his mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, married Indonesian national, Lolo Soetoro, Obama became an Indonesian citizen. They do not allow dual citizenship. That is why Obama’s legal name on his school records in Indonesia is Barry Soetoro. There is no evidence he ever legally changed his name to Obama or reentered the U.S. legally. The only thing an authentic, verifiable vault birth certificate might prove is what we already know: Obama is a pathological liar and that he has committed massive fraud in ten different areas; identity theft and massive, illegal campaign contributions just to name two.

(For those who don’t know, Obama aka Soetoro’s mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, worked for Treasury Secretary, Timothy Geithner’s father: “It also turns out that Geithner’s father, Peter F. Geithner, serves on the board with Kissinger of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations. This is the group that rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange, celebrating Chinese investments in the U.S. economy. In another interesting connection, it turns out that Peter F. Geithner was with the Ford Foundation and oversaw the work of Obama’s mother, Ann Dunham, developing what are called micro finance programs in Indonesia.”)

Obama has the power to immediately fire any U.S. Attorney at his whim. If he even gets a whiff that U.S. Attorney Jeffrey Taylor will convene a Quo Warranto, it’s highly likely Obama will fire him in a NY second. Of course, that would raise big red flags even with his most ardent supporters. However, we must continue hammering on elected public servants and officials in law enforcement at every level — millions of us; click here. Dr. Orly Taitz has two recent posts you should take the time to read:

Letter to the General Counsel of Admiral Mallen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff

Can President Be Arrested or Don’t let America Turn into another Sodom and Gomorrah

In his book, Toward Soviet America, published in 1932, William Z. Foster Said: “When a communist heads a government in the United States – and that day will come just as surely as the sun rises — that government will not be a capitalist government, but a Soviet government and behind this government will stand the Red Army to enforce the Dictatorship of the Proletariat.” Obama is building his storm troopers via legislation. Obama was tapped early in his life for the role he is now playing; Communism in Hawaii and the Obama Connection and then off to the most corrupt political base in America outside Washington, DC: Communism in Chicago and the Obama Connection (Special Report). How did Obama aka Soetoro get a security clearance from the FBI? Tell me.

I have written dozens of columns presenting constitutional solutions. Tragically, the American people have continued to reward their incumbent in Congress by electing them over and over when they are the very people destroying this republic. Change is not possible with the same players. Well, we’ve crossed the point of no return, but the solutions are still there. Dr. Edwin Vieira will be my guest tomorrow night on my radio show (April 28, 2009). Do not miss this because we will discuss the power of the purse, the power of the sword. YOUR survival depends on taking hold of this country immediately in all 3,141 counties. While these Tenth Amendment Resolutions are a great step in the right direction, they have no teeth. The honest money bills have not passed into law. A tragedy. Edwin will discuss this and more; his bio is here.

My guest Wednesday night, April 29th will be Montana State Senator Aubyn Curtiss, to talk about another monstrous land grab attempt. 24 million acres of new wilderness in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and Eastern Oregon. Spread the word and tune in.

Who would Jesus waterboard?

April 28, 2009

MY COMMENTS:  This is a little too obvious for my tastes, but I guess the message from Jim Fedako needs to be so.  I think I would find myself running for the hills if I were to  encounter such Christians.  I guess they are out there, I just don’t get to meet them very often.

My Christian Brothers, Leave Government and Cleave Unto Liberty

by Jim Fedako
by Jim Fedako

My Christian Brothers:

I do not understand why you are now so concerned about government. Nothing has changed. The US is still a democracy, ruled by the will of the majority, under a nominal constitution. And the US continues to have an imperial president, overseas wars and conflicts, and a strong internal state. Plus, this country has shown, time and again, the ability to transition peacefully from one ruling elite to another. Remember, you proudly cheered as our soldiers were sent to foreign lands in order to fight and kill for the very same political system you now question.

Sure, your ideas are no longer in the majority, but democracies always have minority views. And, since you are now in the political minority, you can begin grassroots efforts to once again attain political power. It is possible that within two years, you can foist anew your agenda on the rest of the population – you can feed the Leviathan so that, when it is once again unchained by your enemies, it will turn on you with a vengeance.

For years, I’ve listened to you defend government. You play a game of verbal reasoning when you vote for government interventions and then wash your hands by stating, “We must follow the civil authorities.” Conservative Christians are a significant portion of the electorate, not a majority, but a significant portion nonetheless. For years, you encouraged government to intervene in all aspects of life. Government agreed. And now, that very same power to intervene is being used against you. Did you really expect any other outcome?

In Romans, when Paul wrote about obeying the civil authorities, he meant obeying civil authorities with respect to issues within their purview. So, yes, Christians are not to engage in actions that violate property, etc., such as participating in food riots similar to those that were breaking out throughout Rome. But Paul never meant for Christians to act as Caesar in the polling station, or in political office, and then turn around and fall back on the cover of the civil authority.

As Christians, we believe that the family and marriage are godly institutions. But you encouraged government to intervene and disrupt those very same institutions. Where marriage and family exist under God, you fought the political fights to move them under the nominal authority of the state. A true apostasy. And now you are paying the wages of that sin.

I recently listened to a segment on American Family Radio that described waterboarding as nothing more than an effective method of interrogation. Torture? Absolutely not. No external marks and no blood, therefore no torture. That waterboarding was used in the Spanish Inquisition to punish and intimidate, and to force confessions, and that the psyche and mind are damaged or destroyed in the process, is of no concern, whatsoever.

The American myth of my youth was the image of the liberating American soldier handing chocolate to the children of our enemies. Torture was a tool of the totalitarian states. The great democracy – the US – lived under rules of law, with the same protections granted to all.

That myth is long gone; condensed into the stream of water that triggers a drowning reaction in the mind of the interrogated. Yet, my conservative Christians brothers, you do not even hesitate when distorting that myth. Where torture was a repulsive act of repression, it is now an essential duty in the home of the free – a Christian duty nonetheless.

My conservative Christian brothers, do you not recognize this: That very same technique will likely be used on you at some point in the future.

Ask yourselves this: While you deconstruct the act of waterboarding and stand behind it as just another means to the truth, will you be surprised when, during the next Inquisition, it’s you on a board, tilted slightly, with a government agent slowly opening the faucet? Will you be surprised?

Of course, you now cry a similar tune when lamenting the lost freedom of speech. You are in fear that the power you gave government will be turned against you. You fear – justifiably – that you will no longer be able to preach the Bible – as the Bible is no longer the truth of those in power – without facing legal threats, jail, or the waterboard.

But when you worship democracy – the golden calf of government – above God of the Bible, you should expect nothing else. You should not feign surprise as Aaron did when telling Moses that the calf just appeared out of the fire – that none of it was his creation, nor his handiwork.

Nevertheless, you still look to government as your solution. And you continue to choose the Republican Party as your unequally-yoked partner. Yet it was your Republicans who gladly arrogated more rights than you abrogated. They said that you would only be safe under a stronger state – and you believed.

So, you have exchanged freedom – such as the freedom to preach the Bible – for a false promise of security, much like our biblical forefathers exchanged the yoke of a king for the false promise of security from the neighboring nations.

Of course, they ended up trembling before Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, who said, “My father made your yoke heavy, and I will add to your yoke: my father also chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.” Just as, in the very same manner, you tremble today before the scorpions of Obama, son of Bush.

The issue is more than security. Just like Israelites desiring a king in order to impress neighboring nations, you look to an imperial president and expansive military to impress the countries of the world. You relish in a government that can stomp the planet in boots and uniforms, while seeing enemies at every turn.

We sometimes ask ourselves, “What would Jesus do?” I must ask, “Would Jesus cheer waterboarding as a means to the truth? Would He partner with the Republican Party, or any political party for that matter, in order to achieve worldly power? Would He partner with the state to save lives and win souls? Would He?”

My Christian Brothers, we have to break free from the state. We must stop looking to the next election and the Republican Party as our salvation. And we must stop using the sword of government for our purposes. “For all who take the sword will perish by the sword.”

Note: While the left seeks to desensitize us to moral perversity, the right seeks to desensitize us to violence. And both seek to desensitize us to the evils of power.

Rabid With Debt

by Bill Bonner
by Bill Bonner

bonner

“How do you feel now?” asked a reporter for a local investment magazine. “I mean, you’re a contrarian…and you were right about so much?”

“Not exactly,” we explained. “Yes, we saw the problem coming. And we expected the government would do all the wrong things – which it has. But we never imagined that they’d do so many stupid things all at once.”

There are only two examples from modern history of depressions such as this – the ’30s in America and the ’90s in Japan. Both times, the governments did stupid things. But this time, the U.S. government has outdone them all. They’ve committed $13 trillion to programs that make no sense theoretically…and have never worked when they’ve been tried.

If you’ll recall, the dog that bit the world economy was rabid with debt. The feds are trying the old “hair of the dog” technique. But they’ve rounded up every mangy cur and stray bitch in the country. And now they’re adding debt to the world economy at a much faster rate than ever in history.

Of course, as feral economists, we love it. We never thought we’d see such a thing. Gone are the mealy-mouthed reservations of cautious economists. Gone are the hesitant…hedged…halfway measures. They’re pulling out on the stops. It’s the pedal to the metal…it’s hell for leather…

What a bold experiment! What a brave undertaking! What a crackpot thing to do!

They must think the planet is under attack from aliens. It’s as if the survival of the human race were at stake. Nearly the entire output of the largest economy on the planet for an entire year – debt, not savings – is being spent to…to…to…well…to do what?

To try to stop the speculators from getting what they deserve!

But wait…it gets even madder. Of course, if you put food out in the alley, it’s bound to attract rats.

Not surprising then, that the government’s bailout cash is giving rise to an astonishing number of new fraud and money laundering accusations.

The complex nature of the bailout program makes it “inherently vulnerable to fraud, waste and abuse, including significant issues relating to conflicts of interest facing fund managers, collusion between participants, and vulnerabilities to money laundering,” says an internal government report.

“You don’t need an entirely corrupt institution to pull one of these schemes off,” said an expert. “You only need a few corrupt managers whose compensation may be tied to the performance of these assets in order to effectively pull off a collusion or a kickback scheme.”

But don’t worry. The feds are on the case. They’re said to be investigating. Just the way they did with Bernie Madoff. And who knows? Maybe the crooks will tell their families…and maybe the sons and daughters will turn them in, just like they did with Bernie.

There are always a few rotten apples in every barrel. But from here at our South American headquarters in Buenos Aires they all look brown to us. Even Business Week magazine opines that the whole bailout program is nothing more than a scheme to pick the pockets of the nation’s retirees in order to give the money to rich bankers.

“Monday afternoon, Goldman Sachs (GS) reported much larger than expected first-quarter profits on the heels of the strong earnings Wells Fargo (WFC) reported last week.

“No one should be surprised.

“The Fed has permitted the banks and financial houses to park vast sums of unmarketable paper on its books – securities made nearly worthless by the misjudgment and avarice of bankers. In return, the Fed has provided these paragons of finance with fresh, cheap funds to lend at healthy rates on credit cards, auto loans, and even mortgages.

“While the Fed cuts the banks slack, the bankers are busy turning the screws on their debtors by raising credit card rates and fees, and harassing distressed borrowers with all the zeal the Roman army displayed sacking Palestine.

“It takes good banking skills to borrow at 3%, lend at 5%, and make a profit.

“It takes much less business acumen to borrow at 2%, lend at 5%, and make a profit – which is exactly what has happened. The extra fees are just gravy.

“This all comes at a cost to someone – America’s elderly.

“Many retirees depend on interest from certificates of deposit. Those rates are down dramatically and as CDs expire, retirees are compelled to reinvest their savings at lower rates and live on less income. They can take comfort that their sacrifices are helping pay off Wall Street’s losses from the lavish bonuses that were paid bankers – for example, the $70.3 million Goldman doled out to CEO Lloyd Blankfein in 2007.”

We don’t envy the feds. So many pockets to pick…so little time. Make sure you aren’t among those who find themselves bled dry by the government’s bailouts.

Now, we turn to Addison with a look at China’s recent gold accumulation:

“As we’ve been suspecting, the Chinese have been accumulating gold, slowly but surely.” Writes Addison in a recent 5 Minute Forecast. “They made the announcement this morning. Really, what would you do if you were sitting on $1.9 trillion in foreign reserves – more than half of it minted in U.S. dollars?

“The State Administration of Foreign Exchange says China’s reserves now total 1054 metric tons – up from 600 in 2003. If you’re keeping score at home, that’s a 76% increase in 5 years.

“These new numbers place China fifth among nations that disclose their gold holdings – just ahead of Switzerland.

more-gold

“Given pronouncements made by premier Wen leading up to the G20 meeting last month, you can count on them to pick up a fair share of the $12 billion the International Monetary Fund (IMF) plans to sell this year.”

Each weekday, Addison brings readers The 5 Min Forecast, an executive series e-letter that provides a quick and dirty analysis of daily economic and financial developments – in five minutes or less.

And back to Bill for more memories of his Argentine adventure:

“Macho…” Jorge shouted. “Alto!”

“Macho” was not the right thing to be during the roundup season. It was like being long banks in September of 2008; you were going to get killed.

“If ever you are in the sluices,” we warned Elizabeth, “and they say ‘Alto!’ you should make a run for it.”

“Macho” means male. And on a cattle ranch, male animals are few. The ratio is one bull per 20 cows. The finest of the young males are spared…and destined to a life of procreation. The rest get sent “alto” – to the upper field…and then to the slaughterhouse (usually after being fattened up a bit before they get there).

We brought about 400 cattle over the pass from Compuel. As far as we know, only three died. One calf made it all the way to the corral down at the ranch and then fell down. We left it alone on the ground…hoping it would get back on its feet. It never did.

“There was something wrong with it before we left,” Jorge warned. The vaqueros would normally cut up a fallen calf and have it for dinner. This one, they didn’t dare eat.

The other two dead cows died of wounds inflected by the vaqueros themselves. One – a fat young black steer – was singled out for early retirement…it was the guest of honor at a barbecue at the ranch house. The other was cut up by the vaqueros and portioned out between them. We saw it when we headed back up the hill to the house at lunchtime. It was on its back and on the ground… Three vaqueros were working on it. Its hide had already been cut off. Even from the head. Otherwise, the animal was still intact. Pedro was beginning to cut the head off with a saw as we passed. Later in the day, the skinned head, with horns, sat on the wall like a devil’s head. The vaqueros made the sign of the crucifix when they walked in front of it.

Every once in a while, the bulls would begin pushing against each other. Once they got into such a squabble they broke through the main gate. Another time, a huge bull charged where we were working. All of us jumped the fence or climbed the sluice to get away. Then, we got back to work…

“Macho…alto!” “Hembra…bajo.” (Female…to the lower paddock.)

Jorge judged every animal.

As each animal got stuck in the jaws of the sepa, a whole team got to work. One of the vaqueros injected it against brucellosis. Another gave it an anti-parasite medicine.

Cosimir, a young man wearing a red trucker’s cap, put a pair of tongs in its nose and gave a tug…forcing open its mouth so we could look at the teeth.

We watched Cosimir’s face…intent on his work; each time he pulled on the tongs, his own mouth opened…his tongue went out to the side.

“Sin dientes…alto.” (No teeth…upper paddock.)

“Llena boca…bajo.” (All her teeth…lower paddock.)

Each cow was also treated to an ear tag and an earmark. Each yellow plastic tag has a number, so the animal can be identified and recorded. The tags are punctured through the ears like rings. Then, a v-shaped cut is made in the ear too – further identifying the cow as one of ours.

The cows kicked and bawled. But your editor had already closed the gate behind them. And Pedro had closed the sepa on their necks. They were stuck until we were finished with them.

Young macho calves were singled out for special torture. Once the injections had been made, ears cut and pierced, a rawhide rope was put around their necks. They were dragged into a small paddock next to the sepa. Then, they were held down by two vaqueros while the third cut off their testicles.

The first day, Edward, 15, wearing boots and a cowboy hat, learned to lasso the young calves. He was soon put to work helping Omar castrate the machos:

“I just held them down. Omar asked if I wanted to cut off their…well…you-know- what…but I didn’t want to do it. He was using a Swiss Army knife. I thought they used rubber bands. That’s what they use in France. But Omar says the rubber bands are not always successful. Sometimes they fall off. This way, there’s no doubt about it.”

Over the three days, Edward helped castrate dozens of young calves.

We finished with the cows from Compuel on the first day. By late afternoon, we were checking the horizon for signs of the second group. For while we were working on the thin cows from the high country, other vaqueros were on out the range rounding up hundreds more of them.

Towards the north, we saw a cloud of dust.

“There they are. They’ll be here in about an hour,” Jorge calculated.

It was already nearly 6:30 pm. The sun was going down. Soon, it would be dark.

“We’ll get them into the big paddock…and work on them tomorrow,” said Jorge.

The roundup lasted three long days. From sun-up to sunset, the dust rose up from the corral, along with the yells of the cowhands – including your editor’s. Without a break…the cowboys drove the cows into the sluices…the bright sun beat down…the injections…the frightened cows…the fighting bulls… By the time the sun set behind the mountain in the West, your editor was worn out. He could barely drag himself back up the hill to the “sala” – the main ranch house.

But as he was going up the hill, he noticed, and not for the first time, what a beautiful place it was. It’s autumn in the Southern Hemisphere; the alamo trees have turned golden. Water is running in the streams. The grass is green. The sky is blue.

“I think what makes this place so stunning are the vivid colors,” said Elizabeth. “That…and the majesty of the setting.”

One on side, in the distance, is the snow-covered Nevada de Cachi. At the other, snow tops the Lomo de Negra too. Between them is a broad valley with cattle, vineyards, pimento, llama, barren desert, stones, cactus, and dry moonscape rock formations as well as dense, bottomland vegetation.

Thanks Jim & the Kahre Case

Jim calls me a lemming.  Maybe I can be upgraded to a hopeful lemming?

Why would Jim call me a lemming?  Well, after the pics, here’s his email to a few of us who are in support of the recent End the Fed rally/demonstration in SF.

taxslavery

coppers

“Did anyone there have any silver coin?  Did anyone there advocate getting any?  That would help more than anything I saw in the pictures.

If people claim to want real money, they should already know that they have access to it, just like Mr. Kahre knew he had it all along, and his employees learned they had it too, years ago.

That guy in the picture complaining about income tax should be told ASAP.  If he exercised his right and used the other (original) system currently being supported by Congress, instead of the Fed he pretends to be against, he’d never have to worry about it.

But I told you guys about it months ago.  There must be a reason for ignoring it.  Maybe there’s an agenda to keep EVERYBODY ignorant, for some reason.  Otherwise you might hear of these things from people claiming to be against the Fed, but who support the Fed with their
actions and habits.

Again, Google the Kahre case and learn how to use the system this country was founded with, and how to quit supporting the Fed.  More FRNs were passed by those attending this event that day than all the FRNs used by all the people coast to coast who already have made the choice
to put their money where their mouth is by using gold and silver.

To protest out of one side of your mouth while supporting the Fed out of the other is hypocrisy.  It’s not “necessary”.  Quitting the Fed is not “impossible”.  It is only “inconvenient”.  Protestors who support their enemies because it is inconvenient to do otherwise are hypocrites.  Once
information is received, ignorance should be dispelled.  If information is ignored, somebody must have something to gain by it, right?

Let me know when a protest is scheduled by people who have already figured out they don’t have to lend support to the Fed.  Oh, never mind, because they will never waste time protesting something they can easily avoid.

If you know the truth already, does it make sense to protest that people still believe lies?  People will always believe lies and there’s little that protests can do about it.  Too bad nobody there left with more truth.  The real point, I guess, is nobody seems to know or care what a “dollar” is.  The Lemming Principle is in full control.

Next weekend there’s a Lemming Protest against Gravity at Sea-side Cliffs.  Anyone going?

Regards,

Jim”

I use FRN’s.  I’m a lemming.  He probably has a point and he’s probably not married, doesn’t have a mortgage or bills to pay.  Who knows how he does it.  Kudos to Jim, the non-lemming.

The 60s: Assassinations, a School Shooting, and Nazi Gun Control

by Michael Gaddy

The 60s were a tumultuous time in America. There were the Vietnam War and its subsequent peace movement; the Kennedy assassinations; the Martin Luther King assassination, and the mass shooting at the University of Texas by Charles Whitman. The high-profile assassinations and the mass shooting prompted the government to lobby for stronger gun control, leading to the passage of the unconstitutional, NRA supported, 1968 Gun Control Act.

With the exception of the Vietnam War and its protest activity, all of the above events played into the hands of the state and its never-ending efforts to disarm private citizens. While the only common denominator in the University of Texas shooting involved the use of mind altering drugs by the shooter, the three assassinations were similar in accusations of Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) involvement was alleged in each of them.

It was reported that President Lyndon Johnson was moved by the University shooting to move for stronger gun control; the facts of the case supported just the opposite. After Whitman killed his mother and wife by stabbing them to death, he went to the University Tower where his next victim, Edna Townsley, a receptionist, was butt-stroked with a rifle, which led to her death. Whitman had in essence killed three people before he pulled the trigger the first time.

When victims began to fall from shots fired by Whitman from the University Tower, several civilians secured weapons from their cars and began to return fire at Whitman along with police on the scene. The combined efforts of these civilians and the police forced Whitman to shoot from waterspouts, greatly limiting his ability to acquire additional targets. Had it not been for the deployment of private arms by civilians, the toll of lives lost and those wounded would have been much larger. Yet, the state used this tragedy to move for more draconian firearms possession limitations on private citizens.

Conspiracy theories abound concerning the assassinations of president John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King. As mentioned above, the CIA is mentioned as possibly being involved in all three. We do know the CIA lied about aspects of the JFK assassination. Lies are usually told to hide the truth; what truth was the CIA covering up for 40 years, and why? Why did the CIA withhold evidence from the Warren Commission and defy court orders?

Did the CIA use their “controlled” sources in the media to demonize and ridicule any who found irregularities in the “Pablum” force-fed to the masses concerning the assassination? An April 1st 1967, CIA dispatch, declassified through the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) in 1976, advised the CIA’s “assets” in the media on “Countering criticism of the Warren Report.” These “assets” were instructed features and book revues to be “particularly appropriate” for this purpose. These controlled media sources were to “answer and refute” those critical of the state’s explanation of events by claiming “financial interests” and to allege they were “hasty and inaccurate in their research” and “infatuated with their own theories.” These CIA stooges in the media were instructed to emphasize in their reporting, “no new significant evidence has emerged,” and there was no consistency of thought among the critics. Critics were to be discredited by claiming they were “wedded to theories before all the evidence was in.” Also used was the claim consistently heard about all possible conspiracies involving the state: “Conspiracy on such a large scale would be impossible to conceal.”

The FBI, Secret Service, and the Dallas Police Department withheld evidence from the Warren Commission. As the commission had no investigators of its own, and depended entirely on the above-mentioned agencies for evidence, the credibility of the report must be questioned.

If questioning the veracity of the state’s official report on the JFK assassination and the withholding and suppression of evidence by those tasked with pursuing the truth makes me a “conspiracy nut,” pass the tinfoil.

Credible allegations of CIA involvement in the Robert Kennedy assassination can be found here. Please note CIA Agent George Joannides’s alleged involvement in both the Kennedy’s assassinations.

Allegations of CIA and other state agency’s involvement in the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. have been made by aides and members of the King family. Coretta Scott King said, “There is abundant evidence of a major high level conspiracy in the assassination of my husband…” Dexter King, son of Martin Luther King Jr., who met with James Earl Ray before his death and stated he believed Ray did not kill his father, also stated his father was assassinated “because he challenged the establishment.” Dexter King also referred to the official investigation and findings as “the most incredible cover-up of the century.”

Martin Luther King Jr. had been under surveillance by the FBI, CIA and Army Intelligence for an extended period of time before his assassination because he supposedly represented a threat to national security. His phones were tapped, he was under continual surveillance, his rooms were bugged and his followers infiltrated. Yet, he was assassinated in plain sight and none of the above agencies had a clue as to the plans or movements of the assassin.

The FBI was assigned the task of investigating the assassination of the man they considered a threat to national security and a subject of their “dirty tricks” associated with COINTEL-PRO activities.

Author Alex Constantine, in his work, Virtual Government: CIA Mind Control Operations in America, has exhaustively documented the CIA’s influence in the media through Operation Mockingbird. When a government agency has the ability to control the content of information disseminated to the masses, is that not a form of mind control?

The state used all of the above highly questionable events to propose and pass the 1968 Gun Control Act. The wording of this piece of legislation was taken almost word for word from the 1938 Nazi Gun Control Act. The 1968 GCA is not the state’s only connection with Nazi programs. How many are familiar with the CIA’s connection with Nazi war criminals?

Let me see now; The 1968 Gun Control Act is a re-do of the 1938 Nazi Gun Control Act; The CIA had a Nazi war criminal connection from its very inception; The CIA is alleged to have involvement in several high-profile assassinations in America; The CIA uses its rented mules (Operation Mockingbird) in the mainstream media (MSM) to demonize and marginalize anyone who seeks to investigate the irregularities in the state-issued reports of these assassinations and other possible covert actions; Our form of government has morphed from a republic to in-your-face fascism, and anyone who believes there is a connection between the state and mass shootings is a conspiracy nut!

When the only alternative Boobus utilizes in his search for truth is text messaging, a six-pack and American Idol, what chance is there he would even recognize the truth, or for that matter, even care?

Socialism Wars

by Michael S. Rozeff
by Michael S. Rozeff

America’s socialism wars began in full force with the election of Franklin Delano Roosevelt as president.

By the time I was born, 1941, the socialists occupied virtually all the enemy territory: the Supreme Court had endorsed the New Deal. It had killed the U.S. Constitution by re-interpretation.

The commerce clause justified any Congressional act. Substantive due process was dead. The contracts clause was dead. The general welfare clause became, not a restraint, but a justification for any and all legislative enactments. The Bill of Rights was on its way to emasculation.

Legislation triumphed over rights, militarism over peace, foreign entanglements over neutrality, war over peace, slavery over freedom, the State over the family, coercive collectivism over private property, and Keynes over Hayek.

Socialism was victorious over liberty, laissez-faire, private property, freedom of association, and free markets. Socialism cleared the ideological battlefield.

From then until now, the soldiers of socialism have deepened and widened their victories. The American eagle is now socialist. Socialism has its talons in every part of a person’s life and every major institution in America.

But wars go on for surprisingly long periods of time. Justice, truth, and right cannot be extinguished, no matter how severely they are suppressed. The socialism wars have not ended. They will go on until socialism is completely defeated, which it will be, eventually.

The ideological poles of the battling sides are evident to those who look into the wars. But who are the persons fighting in the socialism wars? Everyone. Every person on earth. Every person chooses up sides.

Where are the battlefields? Ultimately, they are in the hearts and minds of every person on earth. While the ideological battle lines are clearly drawn, the physical battle lines are not. The same person may be on either side at various times and with varying degrees of strength and commitment.

This is not a classic military battle. As a society, the enemy is within us, around us, and over us. The enemy pervades our every action. The enemy is entrenched in the system and in our minds. We are now deeply dependent on the enemy. Our every plan involves its survival. We count on it. We fear its demise. We are trapped in it by ourselves. We are trapped in it by powers beyond our apparent control. But the trap is of our own making. We have recruited ourselves into the socialist wars on the side of socialism.

Someone asked me “what makes a healthy economy?” A simple but profound question, if by “healthy” is meant “good.” Ethics are of supreme importance. But whose ethics? Where shall they come from? To the libertarian, an economy without aggression is a good economy. To the socialist, only an economy with aggression can be good. To some libertarians, non-aggression is an element of natural law. To others, natural law is untenable. To some, praxeology is a hope: non-aggression has to be rooted in an as yet unelaborated science of ethics. Yet others look to the Greeks and eudaemonic ethics. I am in none of these schools of thought, all of which are looking within man or to man for ethical guidance. I believe in revealed (biblical) ethics. It is sometimes the case that the recommended ethics of the various schools of thought overlap, even if their foundations and rationales do not.

As a society, we have made the satanic enemy our God. To vanquish that enemy, throw down that idol in one’s heart and mind. Hate its evil. Hate its wickedness. Do not tolerate its deceits and lies. “Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” (Matthew 4:10.)

There have been so many good articles on lewrockwell.com this week I finally gave up trying to select ones for posting to the blog.  As I have probably mentioned before, you can usually by-pass my blog and go straight to lewrockwell.com to get about 80% of the content on this blog.

This week – everything from the Expanding State to the Fed to the Tea Parties to the Gold Market to Preparation – it is all there.  Please check them out.

This probably means I need to spread my wings, but suffice for now, I am spread too thin.

Good reading.   Denny

Interesting Commentary from Colorado Gold

April 23, 2009
-
Last night after my presentation, a fellow asked me about gold and how to hold it.  This is not really my area of expertise, but as you could imagine I have some opinions on the subject.  He had some significant paper gold investments and also physically held in what seemed like quantities I could only dream about from what I gathered.  My suggestion was to get out of the paper and put it into physically held.  I thought his eyebrows were going to go off his forehead.  I could make no cogent argument in favor of paper gold investments given where we see the dollar and all of insanity coming from the Fed Gov, but this fellow was very keen on staying in the “economy” and being able to move things around, make purchases and sales by having the banking system at his disposal and I found this to be the only compelling argument in favor of paper gold.  If I were fortunate enough to be in this man’s position and if I were secure enough to stay the course it would be due only to the fact that I would consider myself very astute on timing
-
My view is that we are in a period when a bank closure or a major market upset could happen very fast.  Not to mention some new pronouncement from the Fed Gov or Fed about how they are going to take some new measure to “save the economy.”  Would this involve someone’s access to their paper gold account?  Well it seems pretty risky to me.
-
My advice was that he could always sell physical gold to accomplish whatever he wanted to do and this does come with some problems, but at least it is in his control.  Maybe I am being too conservative.

Then I found this commentary from Colorado Gold and found it helpful, but also a little optimistic about what will likely happen …

Barter

May 18, 2007

I wrote about this back in January, but the questions still come to me regularly, so I’ll reiterate it again, with more details. “I’d better get a few small gold coins so that I can barter when the dollar fails.” “I need silver coins so I can trade them for stuff when the dollar fails.” Statements like that are indicative of the person’s lack of faith in the dollar, and I can’t blame them. The dollar is one failing, absolutely ridiculous currency, which has already lost 98% of its purchasing power of a few decades ago, and will undoubtedly continue. It will reach absolute zero as other un-backed paper monies have in 100% of history, and that’s why people are afraid they’ll have to barter to eat and stay alive. I understand the feelings, but I don’t agree.

Basically, barter is good only between two people. “I’ll trade your antique car for my antique sofa or picture.” Yard sales are actually barter. “I’ll give you two bucks for your toaster.” “I’ll trade my Krugerrand for your 1998 Ford?” Surely that is barter also. It works between two people, and works very well, Sales taxes and other taxes are avoided, naturally, and besides it is fun. “I’ll give you a silver coin for three dozen eggs.” If you are close to a farmer, and he doesn’t need dollars, that will work also.

BUT, without a currency, civilization would collapse. Literally. How can the US nation survive if money can’t be wired or sent by mail with checks? Credit cards are now almost universal, and they’re denominated in dollars, not ounces of gold or silver. Prices of cars, lettuce, and lumber are in dollars, not ounces of gold or silver. Now don’t get me wrong. I love gold and silver! Gold and silver are the best possible way to save yourself as the dollar goes down. Gold and silver are a sure way of preserving your wealth by getting out of failing dollars and into a different denomination. As the buck fails, you are out of them. If you need dollars, you sell some gold or silver to get back into the current currency, which are dollars in the US. If the dollar fails completely, they’ll invent another. The “Amero?’ Who knows, but I do know that we HAVE TO HAVE A CURRENCY. Without a currency, there could be no credit cards, wire transfers, checks, or money orders.

Without wire transfers, checks, money orders, and credit cards, the civilization would be back in primitive days of horses and buggies or even before. (They had dollars in horse and buggy days). When the US was founded, a currency was placed in the Constitution for obvious reasons. So we could do business!

It is also absolutely true that the politicians have ruined the dollar by deficit spending year after year, and costly wars. The ruination of the dollar is not your fault, as I said previously, and we must hedge ourselves with gold and silver to save ourselves from currency debasement and even collapse. But barter with more than two people, simply will not work, and a civilization cannot survive on barter. I firmly do believe that saving small coins for barter will never happen. It can’t happen, other than between two parties.

Gas stations, super markets, oil companies, auto dealerships, hardware stores, or what have you, have to pay their suppliers who are usually in far-away places. They have to wire money or send checks for their foods, autos, hardware or other merchandise, and they can’t send gold or silver. They have to transmit dollars. From our earliest days of 200 hundred years ago, nothing was priced in ounces of gold and silver. Things have always been priced in dollars. They have to be priced in a currency with common numbers such as dollars. When the dollar was backed by gold and coins were made of silver, all was well. Now that the backing has been removed, we need to invest in the former backing, to avoid economic personal disaster. No, I am not making mountains out of speed bumps. Just look at history, and the millions who lost their total life savings by staying in failing currencies.

As a currency becomes weaker or fails, another will always take its place. The euro took the place of a dozen European currencies, and seems to be working out OK. I am not defending the buck! I am only saying that we need bucks to buy and sell, as well as pay our bills, so in my opinion, gold and silver are wonderful ways to save ourselves, but not to barter. From Jan 1st 2005-Jan 1st, 2006, gold went up 28% and silver 69%. That’s what a wonderful way they are to get out of failing dollars. But you have to get back into dollars to buy orange juice, a new tire, or two by four. You’ll never see orchids or squash priced in ounces of silver! You’ll never see a new car priced in ounces of gold. How could you possibly make a reservation, or buy something from a distant outlet with out a credit card? You’ll never see a credit card denominated in ounces of gold or silver, but in dollars, euros, or some currency.

Fractional ounce Gold Eagles are nice for gifts, but are a lot more expensive than one ounce coins. You pay about $7 more per ounce for tenth ounce coins. The reason is that they have to make ten blanks, and stamp them ten times, rather than one or once. This adds to the cost. I suggest that buying tenth ounce coins is fine if that is what you want, but I think it is extremely doubtful that you’ll ever have to barter with them.

As I mentioned in a previous article, the Barter Theatre in Abingdon, VA bartered movies for eggs and radishes during the depression, but they had to pay their film rentals in dollars. No more films there, since the place has become a first rate, famous, live stage house. It still looks like a twenties film house though. Barter is fun, but perhaps a better term would be “bargaining.” When you buy a home or car, the price is listed, but unless you are a fool, that is not the price which you may eventually pay. An antique store will always give a 10% “discount” if you haggle with them a bit, and at a garage sale, the bargaining can go on till one side gets tired or angry. Used car lots and realtors expect you to “make an offer,” which is bargaining, not barter. Barter, as most think of it, is trading one commodity (eggs, bread, milk, etc) for another (gold, silver, sawdust pellets, ). Bargaining, is just that: Trying to get an item for a lower number of dollars.

Summing up, the buck is probably on its last legs, and will be replaced by another currency. Politicians can always pull another trick out of their sleeve and may make the buck survive longer than any of us thought possible. The United States of America’s reputation and even existence depends on having a currency. For that matter, any nation’s existence, depends on having a currency. As usual, they all go bad when their backing is removed. Decades ago, in Luna Park on Coney Island, there was an act called Jolly Trixie and Princess Wee Wee. Like much else in those days of yore, it was great fun, but a total fraud. The dollar, and staying in them may be fun, but it is as silly as the above act. Buy the former backing of the buck, and protect yourself.
